PRESIDENT JONATHAN AND THE MANDILA VIRTUE Now, the Christmas Day speech of President Jonathan inside the Church is creating ripples warranting a refutal by the Presidency on the aspect on terrorism. This would not have being necessary if the President allowed the Mandela Virtue to garnish his speech. Among the Mandela virtue is to avoid speaking or responding with anger. And we all know that anger destroys good intention. Another of the Mandela virtue is forgiveness, this was also lacking in the aforesaid speech. All these were provoked by the Obasanjo letter, the desire to revenge, retaliate or make a point. And I do not think that approach is solving any concern. I maintain the view that if the Presidency view the Obasanjo letter as wrong or unbecoming of the Elder Statesman, the response of the President did not help matter, and it is true that 'two wrongs does not make a right' that is why the blame game is shifting to the media by the Presidency. ...
