A CHRIST CENTERED LIFE

For me, a Christ centered life is very demanding in our word today, where good is called bad and bad called good. But we as disciples of Christ has hope on Him because of his examples. That is why I will focus on the question and answer of The Lord, Jesus Christ in the Book of Mormon, "What manner of men ought ye to be? Verily, I say unto you, even as I am" [3 Nephi 27: 27] . And we know Christ manner of man is that of Charity, who think of others rather than self. Finding answer to this question and being as Christ is require us constantly asking ourselves the following questions: 1.      What would Jesus do? 2.     What would He have me do? The purpose of being like Christ is to be charitable and perfect like Him and attain our ultimate goal of exaltation like Him. And the truth is that Christ is exalted because He centered His life on God Almighty, our Heavenly Father. EXAMPLES OF WHAT CHRIST DID NOT DO INCLUDES: 1.      Anger, if he was, he woul

WHAT IS THE MEANING OF CHANGE?

There has being uproar since the last six federal appointments made by President Buhari. I hope this sentiments will not create distrust among the President Party to the extent that the opposition party will mock at them. The promised changed by the Governing All Progressive Congress [APC] is not clear to the public, particularly those below the poverty line. So, what does Change mean in Nigeria? Is it just the replacement of the former President and his Ministers? Or Is it just a mantra to win election? As a citizen of Nigeria, I wish to ask, do we really know the number of offices the President has to replace by appointments? we know the number of Ministers we ought to have, though yet to be appointed. Do we have idea of the criteria of assessment for appointment by the President? we only know one criteria, a prospective candidate should not have record of corruption. so, we as we do not know fully the answers to these questions, these uproars will gain more amber of discord in t
In Nigeria a new Government has being in place for 62 days. We have being told to have patience, to tame our aspiration for the needed change in our land. They tell us that they mate empty treasury, we are told that the past leaders traded with our trust, that the corruption they mate is scaring to mention, but that former ministers had oil barrels that belongs all OS privately sold for them. And they are still making bold promise to recover all the loot.   The question is should we trust them?

CONSEQUENCES : READ MY 2014 WRITE UP ON PRESIDENT JONATHAN

WHO WILL SAVE PRESIDENT  GOODLUCK JONATHAN FROM HIMSELF? It is not the intention of this writer to delve into the unpredictable arena of partisan politics in Nigeria, but as a watcher and a law abiding citizen I sincerely wish to express these opinions that are personal and I feel entitled to them since they have  being bothering me fore sometime now because of the recent happening in our polity. Thus, I ask, who will save President Goodluck Jonathan from himself? The political forecasters galavanting the capital cities of Nigeria predicting who knows what are they telling him the truth? Where is the place of ethnic envy and jealousy in this whole drama? Are there political broods and novice claiming to be masters in center stage? There are definitely more questions that I can attempt answers. But definitely, An attempt I will do with all sincerity. Ones upon a time in Nigeria we were our brothers brother as well as Sisters Sister. Particularly during military rule and the two years ci

Soldiers for Election.

POLITICS OF DEPLOYMENT OF SOLDIERS DURING ELECTION. The deployment of armed forces of the federation in elections is constitutionally wrong and unnecessarily dragging members of the armed forces to the arena of politics in Defence of the interest of the Commander -in-Chief. By SS. 217, 218 and 219 of the 1999 Constitution (as amended) when read together the President cannot deploy members of the armed forces of the federation for "election purposes" in aid of civil authorities without an Act of the National Assembly. It must be pointed out that the Act of the National Assembly is different from a Bill or Resolution of the National Assembly. An Act of the National is a law that has gone through all the readings in the National Assembly and passed as a Bill and assented to by the President. As at today there is no Act of the National Assembly that authorizes the President as Commender-in-Chief to deploy members of the Armed Forces of the Federation 'for election duties'

BUHARI INTERVIEW

Buhari in Quest to Secure Nigeria 12 Dec 2014 Font Size:  a  /  A His quick, light steps belied his age. The smile on his face, his clear tone and his eagerness to provide details painted a vivid picture of a man at home with himself and the society at large. His wit and quips revealed an often unexposed funny side that were difficult to place with the no-nonsense, carefully cultivated image ascribed to the former military Head of State and All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential aspirant, Major-General Muhammadu Buhari. However, the irony in Buhari’s character could be deemed a reflection of his transition from a military officer who overthrew a democratically elected government in December 1983, to one who after retirement became an avowed democrat that has sought to rule Nigeria via the ballot, albeit in three unsuccessful attempts. But for many who have followed Buhari, they would be the first to remind anyone who cares to listen that his democratic conversion occurred after t
